Description

My entry for the Scholastic art competition. They changed the rules this year though, so we had to send in digital photos of our pieces, which is honestly a pain in the butt because unless your doing digital work or photography, it makes things look lower quality. XP I didn't win anything (I blame the fact that my picture was shiny and had a huge glare in the photos) but I still like the picture. ^^

All the characters are mine... plus one random space-filler who I have no clue who she is. The characters are as follows:
Kaito - Gold Nereida in top left corner in the boat
Morrow - Red-haired Amir in bottom left riding on the giant bird
Stryker - Morrow's giant bird
Fadia - Red-haired Amir at the top right riding on the white dragon.
Vesper - Fadia's dragon-bird thing
Soap - blue lizard-thing near Vesper's head
Random space filler girl - to the left of Soap
Rakesh - Ilmaren wearing white sitting below Vesper
Floren - Silver Nereida below Rakesh
Quell - Illmaren-Nereida hybrid standing to the right of Floren
Rilla - White cat-thing below Quell
Noche - Black Nereida in bottom right corner in the water.

Wow, this is a really busy drawing =p The angle you chose is a hard one to draw from - I did notice a few perspective errors - particularly with the people. It's challenging to fix (I still struggle with it when I'm not using reference photos) but using lines of perspective can really help with that (ie: draw a a few lines connected to the ground at 90o angles so that if one of your characters were standing next to it, they would be seeing a vertical line) . I absolutely love your use of the colours in this though  and the water is very nice. Keep drawing and making masterpieces =D
